Nutrition focuses on ensuring the sustainability of health and protecting and increasing quality of life, meeting the nutritional needs of individuals and society, promoting healthy eating habits, providing nutritional therapies in the prevention and treatment of diseases, and improving the general health status of society. In protecting health and preventing diseases in societies, nutrition is among the cheapest, easiest and most primary steps. The science of nutrition aims for society to raise healthier generations in the future by providing education on topics such as nutritional therapy, healthy lifestyle, community nutrition and nutrition policies.

The mission of the Nutrition and Dietetics department is to train dietitians who are educated with current and international approaches and methods based on science and technology, who are competent and effective in their professional field, who respect universal and cultural values, and who serve to protect, improve and develop public health and increase quality of life through adequate and balanced nutrition.
