Dean's Message

Dear Students,

Istanbul Galata University Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences continues its educational activities under different departments in order to train the qualified employees needed in the business world, taking into account developments in the world in the field of arts and social sciences and the topics that gain importance accordingly.

There are currently twelve departments within our Faculty providing education in Turkish and English. The curricula of these departments are prepared by our faculty members who closely follow scientific and applied developments in their fields of expertise, and aim to ensure that our students fully acquire the theoretical and applied knowledge that will enable them to be successful in the sectors in which they will work in the future.

With the education program implemented in our Faculty, the aim is to raise students who can transfer the knowledge they acquire throughout their educational life to real life, who follow current developments in the sectors in which they will work, who have a high capacity to adapt within their team, who take ethical principles into account and are responsible, who prioritize sustainability by contributing to society, and who have creative and critical thinking.

Our University, located in the historic art and finance center of Istanbul – a world city that has been the capital of great empires throughout history – also offers important opportunities to our students with its unique location, providing the opportunity to participate in the social life of the city as a student and to be close to the business world.
