Head of Department's Message

Dear Students, welcome to the İstanbul Galata University Business Department! 

The fundamental aim of the Business Department is to train the successful leaders, entrepreneurs and managers of the future by offering in-depth knowledge in fundamental business disciplines such as finance, marketing, human resources, behavioral sciences, accounting and production management.

The skills that stand out in today's business life are changing and developing at a greater speed than ever. Accordingly, while the technical and special level of knowledge you need to be successful in your working life when you graduate is taught to you in line with the "hard skills" fundamental business disciplines, importance is also given to the development of your social skills (soft skills) such as analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, teamwork and leadership in your interpersonal relationships.

The importance of social skills in today's working life is increasing more and more. Being a good communicator, displaying effective leadership, being inclined to teamwork and having problem-solving skills will help you make a difference in the business world and advance rapidly in your career. 

 As the Business Department, we have meticulously prepared our program so that you develop both your technical skills (hard skills) and your social skills (soft skills) and gain competencies in this field. For this reason, in our curriculum, in addition to your technical skills, we also attach special importance to the development of your social skills, and we aim to reinforce these skills with various applied projects, group studies and seminars. In addition, we support our education with various elective courses and applied projects that will help you understand the dynamics of the global business environment. 

As the Business Department, we will be very pleased to guide you in your academic and professional life.
